So, when you mix both the healthy ingredients together, you get delicious, healthy and easy to cook Sweet chilli Lotus Stem which we made using our very own Bechef Sweet Chilli Sauce.

Asian Style Sweet Chilli Lotus recipe is a delicious snack time recipe, you can now make this recipe in few minutes using these simple steps mentioned below: So let's get started.

Ingredients
Bechef Sweet Chilli Sauce - 2 tbsp
Corn Flour - 1 cup
Salt - To taste
Black Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
Lotus Stem Sliced ( parboiled) - 1 cup
Cooking Oil - For frying
Garlic (finely chopped) - 1 tsp
Ginger (finely chopped) - 1 tsp
Ketchup - 2 tbsp
Honey - 2 tbsp
Soya sauce - 1 tbsp
Roasted Peanut - For garnish
Directions
Take a mixing bowl and add corn flour in the bowl.
In the same bowl, add salt according to the taste and pinches of Black Pepper.
Now take parboiled lotus stem and coat the steam nicely with the spiced corn flour dry batter that you made.
Now take a pot or deep fry pan, get the oil to heat for a good 4-5 minutes. Once the oil has been heated, fry the lotus stem until they turn golden brown in color.
Recipe (Main Step):
Take a pan, heat it for next 1-2 mins. Add oil to the pan once it’s heated.
Now add chopped ginger, finely chopped garlic and give it a nice stir.
Now it’s time to add sauces. You will now add ketchup, soya sauce and our hero, Bechef Sweet Chilli Sauce.
After mixing our sauces well, add honey, salt as per your taste, and pinches of black pepper.
Mix all the ingredients well and let them cook for next 1-2 minutes.
Now add the tasty looking fried lotus stem into the mixture.
In our final step, mix everything well, nicely and gently.
There you have it! Easy to cook, delicious and sizzling sweet chilli lotus stem. Serve hot!

We love the crunchy and fresh flavour of Lotus stem paired with bechef sweet chilli sauce and vola you have a flavourful dish ready.
How to improve?
Lotus Stem is a very delicate ingredient, you can savor the taste of it by marinating the lotus stem with Bechef Peri Peri or Sriracha Sauce, keep it aside for next 20-25 mins. Once the marination is completed, deep fry it. And Voila! Nice, crispy and Spicy lotus stem is ready!
