Baked Harissa Chicken
Chicken(medium pieces,with bones)-200 gms
Harissa Sauce-2 tbsp
Olive oil-2 tbsp
Lemon juice-1/2 lemon
To Garnish (optinal): 1 tbsp sliced roasted almonds.
Onion,tomato,lemon,cucumber,fresh coriander leaves.
1)Take Chicken in a bowl and add salt to taste.
2)Prepare marinade:Add 2 tbsp Harissa sauce,1/2 lemon juice,1 tbsp Olive oil,1 tbsp honey, 3 cloves of garlic (crushed).
3)Coat the chicken well with marinade and leave for at least 2 hrs.(Overnight marination yields best results)
4)Pan fry the chicken in 1 tbsp Olive oil and brown from both sides.Dont overcook.
5)Now when they are brown from both sides put them in a greased baking tray.
6)Preheat oven and Bake at 180°C for 15-18 mins.
7)Baked Harissa chicken is ready.
Top with some roasted almonds,Sprinkle some Chaat masala and lemon juice for extra tinge.Garnish with Onion rings,tomato,fresh coriander leave.Enjoy with raita or green chutney.
I have served it with raita.
